What LibStract provides

LibStract is an independent directory that organizes selected JavaScript, CSS, webfont and related browser assets so developers can find, learn about and access them more conveniently.

LibStract does not claim authorship or ownership of third-party libraries. Each project remains associated with its original creators, maintainers and applicable licence.

When a library is hosted or made available through LibStract, the purpose is to provide convenient access to the corresponding project files. Hosting a file does not change who created it, who owns it, or which licence applies to it.

Respecting creators and projects

We respect the work of the developers, maintainers and organizations behind every third-party project listed on LibStract.

Library names, logos, trademarks, source code, icons, fonts and other project materials belong to their respective owners or rights holders. Their names are used on LibStract only to identify the relevant project and its assets.

Listing a project does not indicate sponsorship, endorsement, partnership or affiliation with LibStract or DevStack Studio unless an official relationship is explicitly stated.

Licences and attribution

Every third-party library is provided under the licence selected by its original project or rights holder. Before using or redistributing an asset, review the licence that applies to the specific project, version and files involved.

• Follow the conditions of the applicable licence for your intended use.
• Preserve copyright, licence and attribution notices when the applicable licence requires them.
• Remember that companion assets such as fonts, icons, logos, plugins, themes or dependencies may have their own terms.
• Use the official project documentation when you need authoritative information about installation, compatibility or supported usage.

Official project information

LibStract provides project and licence information as a convenience for visitors. The original project's documentation, repository and published licence remain the appropriate sources for the most authoritative information about that project.

If information shown on LibStract differs from the current upstream information, the upstream project's published terms should be checked before making an important usage or redistribution decision.

Using hosted files

A file being available through a LibStract URL does not make that file public domain or remove the conditions of its original licence.

Developers using a hosted or downloaded asset should continue to follow the licence and attribution requirements of the original project.

Library information and availability

We aim to keep library names, versions, links and file information clear and useful. However, projects can change, releases can be updated, and information can become outdated.

For important production decisions, verify the current version, documentation, licence and security information with the original project.

Corrections and rights concerns

If you are a project maintainer, rights holder or user and notice an incorrect attribution, licence detail, project reference or hosted asset, please let us know.

Contact DevStack Studio through the developer portfolio and include the relevant LibStract page or asset, project name and version, together with the official project information that helps explain the correction.

We will review reported information and, where appropriate, correct the listing or make changes to the affected asset.

Our approach

LibStract is built to make useful developer resources easier to discover while giving proper recognition to the projects that make those resources possible.

Our goal is simple: make library access convenient, keep project identity clear, and respect the licences and ownership of the people and organizations behind the software.
